I am from Meadville, just 40 miles south of Erie. I have had the most difficult time in finding anyone from MD's to support groups that actually believe FM/CFS are illnesses.

I have a family doctor that is a skeptic so I rarely go there anymore. I have not found any support in this area at all. I also see a rheumatologist in Erie but the only thing I've recieved from there are piles of RX's that I really do not want to take.

I do see a loving and caring chiropractor that has done a world of good for me who actually is from Erie and practices in Meadville.

I also see an alternative doctor in another town that I haven't been to in awhile because of my family doctor. I am planning on returning to that office next week.

Just wondering what is available in the Erie region as far as practioners, support groups, places to buy products, seminars.....etc.

We do have some very good practicioners in Erie. We do not have any that do the Fibro and Fatigue protocal of Dr. Teitelbaum in Erie but there are Pittsburgh and Cleveland centers that specialize in the treatment of fibromyalgia. If you would like to email me, I could give you some PPC's in Erie that I have found are very compassionate about the disease. I will do anything to guide you in the right direction!
Hope, Peace and Joy always. We are currently trying to get a class started in Meadville. So far, we have four students but we need at least twelve to start a class. If you are interested, please feel free to call me at 1-888-774-7007 to talk about it.
Thanks for asking me.
Sincerely,
Karen Grove
