Fibroga® 1 is a very gentle exercise therapy using modified yoga positions with the aid of a chair. It consists of warm ups, stretching, and relaxation. The warm ups are critical to any exercise workout. I focus on eyes, neck, shoulders, arms, spine, legs and just about every part of the body before going into the stretching exercises. Stretching is very important when you have fibromyalgia. Fibroga 1 is gentle and stretches the muscles in the body to get relief from the tense muscle pain that Fibromyalgia is known for. The relaxation is very important because it takes the areas that you have just stretched and by using "body scanning" relaxes each part of your body. Relaxation is great to do anywhere. It can be done right before bedtime to relax your entire body for a good night's sleep! As with any exercise program, I recommend checking with your doctor to make sure the exercise works for you.
